BOSTON, Mass. – November 27, 2018 – Software intelligence company Dynatrace, announced today that it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Container Competency status. This designation reflects the Dynatrace® platform’s ability to support AWS services in a way that improves customers’ capability for running workloads on containers and optimizing orchestration and scheduling, monitoring and logging, container networking, and application build/test and deployment on containers.
“With the expectation that containerized applications would quickly increase in adoption, we re-engineered our platform to handle what has proven to be a highly disruptive shift in the way applications are built and scaled. Being able to provide automatic visibility into containers and microservices, including providing a continuously updated topology of a full-stack architecture, has been invaluable for our cloud customers,” explains Steve Tack, SVP Products, Dynatrace. “It’s very rewarding to have these capabilities recognized by AWS this week at AWS re:Invent 2018.”
Dynatrace supports customers’ AWS cloud infrastructure and provides out-of-the-box full-stack intelligence for Dockerized applications in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) using a single agent deployment model. Utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, Dynatrace is designed to continuously create a topology of a customer’s dynamic architecture, auto baselines performance and can determine the precise root cause of any performance or availability issues affecting users and services.
“Containers and microservices have made it difficult for traditional monitoring strategies to navigate complex IT environments,” added Rob Trueman, Head of Software Engineering at CDL. “Dynatrace provides a new level of real-time visibility into containers and our AWS environment, with a simple set-up, intuitive toolsets and in-depth root-cause analysis, that have made monitoring drastically easier for our teams.”
Dynatrace previously achieved AWS DevOps Competency and AWS Migration Competency status. Achieving AWS Container Competency status recognizes Dynatrace as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member that provides specialized, demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success with a specific focus on monitoring workloads, particularly in containers. To achieve this status, APN Partners like Dynatrace must possess deep AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.
AWS is enabling scalable, flexible and cost-effective solutions from startups to global enterprises. To support the seamless integration and deployment of these solutions, AWS established the AWS Competency Program to help customers identify Consulting and Technology APN Partners with deep industry experience and expertise.
