These release notes relate to Dynatrace Managed specific changes. To learn about general Dynatrace changes included in this Dynatrace Managed release, see:
The OpenSSL library, used by the Nginx service, was updated to version 1.1.1s for increased resilience and security.
More granular retention settings for RUM
You can now set RUM: Non-aggregated user action data retention period in environment quota settings. After that period, user action data (for example a user action waterfall data) is optimized for aggregated views. Non-aggregated and aggregated code-level data produce comparable results for longer timeframes, while differences may be expected for shorter timeframes.
Operating systems support
Current Dynatrace Managed operating systems support changes
The following operating systems will no longer be supported starting 01 December 2024
Linux: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.6, 8.9, 9.0, 9.3
Improved the naming for .NET Managed Thread Pool Metrics showing the currently active thread pool threads. (OA-12075)
Application Security
The comment field is no longer mandatory in the following endpoints: `/securityProblems/\{id}/mute`, `/securityProblems/\{id}/unmute`. (RSA-7819)
Improved robustness of the process group overview page (fixes an infrequent crash). (RSA-7551)
Security problem state transition events (for example, Open to Muted) are no longer written twice in some specific edge cases. (RSA-7839)
Resolved issue with addable field `filteredCounts` that caused internal server error when being used in security problem details endpoint. (RSA-8367)
The vulnerability count on the "Application Security overview" page has been corrected to include runtime vulnerabilities. (RSA-7775)
Autonomous Cloud
The "Monitor Kubernetes / OpenShift" deployment page now references the newly released Dynatrace Operator v0.10.2. (K8S-4484)
An issue with the "Kubernetes node not ready" alert was fixed, which could lead to the alert not triggering, even if the "node not ready" condition was fulfilled. (K8S-4942)
Cluster
Reports list now shows reports for last year as opposed to last ten years. (EXA-4326)
Fixed issue where RUM was not disabled on Dynatrace Managed environments when the DEM quota was exceeded. (LIMA-6257)
Fixed an issue in which metric events created or modified via Metric events API starting from version 1.257 had incorrect audit information. This bug neither impacts the authentication of API calls nor reveals secret parts of the API tokens to other Dynatrace users. (DAVIS-3420)
"Kubernetes workloads" page filtering now persists correctly when refreshing the page or navigating back to it. (TI-4723)
Fixed an issue with matcher queries containing DQL strict equality conditions (== operator). The matching could have been wrong when in the tenant's ruleset, different type of conditions where used on the same attribute among which one was a strict equality condition. (LOG-2310)
We fixed an issue where higher port numbers are displayed incorrectly on the Kubernetes service ports table. (K8S-5038)
Support for OAuth 2.0 in webhook problem notifications was recently added, but the new feature created an API breaking change by requiring a new property to be specified in POST requests to the Settings 2.0 API for the problem notifications schema. The property is now optional so as not to break API integrations with existing payloads. (DAVIS-3319)
Fixed: user with Management Zone only access rights might get unexpected 403 page when editing host's plugins configuration. (TI-5183)
The "Services" table now correctly lists all appropriate metrics (now also includes data with a `span.kind` of `consumer`). (TI-4794)
Corrected description of displayed span kinds on OpenTelemetry service overview page. (TI-4720)
Closing the problem timeframe works again after navigating to Kubernetes settings and back via the breadcrumb bar. (DAVIS-3159)
Fixed issue that prevented adding extensions with process grouping rules. (HOST-2140)
On "Settings" > "Anomaly detection" pages, corrected descriptions of baselining settings (changed "average" to "median"). (DAVIS-3144)
Fixed a performance issue on Kubernetes list pages. (TI-5150)
We fixed an issue for Managed Multi-DataCenter failover handling where the event/problem handling could get stuck. (DAVIS-3625)
Fixed an issue that, in certain cases (for example, availability events), caused events to merge with other events into a single problem even though they were configured not to merge. (DAVIS-3112)
Corrected the description displayed for outdated OneAgents on "OneAgent health overview" page. (TI-4797)
Fixed a problem where nodes were not correctly linked to 'OneAgent' span. (TI-4669)
Fixed an infrequent problem on the provider details page for mobile and custom applications. (RUM-8981)
Management zone handling on Kubernetes pages has been improved. Important note: To prevent displaying too much information on the cluster details page, you need to configure management zones correctly. The dimensional rule has to have the same scope as the entity rule. For example, if the management zone is filtered by a namespace, the entity rule and dimensional rule need to include a condition for that namespace. (K8S-4617)
Cluster Management Console
Fixed issue that prevented manual updates of environment ActiveGates via the cluster management UI. (PS-6042)
Synthetic monitoring
When updating a credential vault entry for HashiCorp, "Secret name for username" and "Secret name for password" are no longer empty. (SYNTH-3600)
When you attempt an on-demand execution on more than 100 locations, a message now explains that the execution limit of 100 has been exceeded. (SYNTH-3590)
Corrected error that could prevent changing frequency and/or locations for a Synthetic monitor in the web UI. (SYNTH-3633)
Reduces probability that GRAIL ingest sessions might enter a failed state after a longer service outage. (GRAIL-6716)
managed
Vulnerability: Fixed the password reset link. (CLD-5057)
Older ActiveGate packages will no longer appear to be stuck in the downloading state. (CLD-5398)
metric ingest
When tracking the number of external data points (`dsfm:server.metrics.ingest.external_datapoints` and `dsfm:server.metrics.ingest.external_datapoints_by_source_address`), the data points of self-monitoring metrics are no longer taken into account. (CLUSTER-3999)
metric low-level
Fixed an issue when the Container Group instance metric queries can cause data loss by triggering ALR. (CLUSTER-4459)
metric query
Fixed host and PGI connectivity metrics holding a value of 100% even when no traffic is reported. (CLUSTER-4147)
sepl agent/activegate stream
Fixed a 500 error that occurred if, on the "Remote configuration management" page, either (A) a host group or network zone for hosts was removed or (B) an ActiveGate group or network zone for ActiveGates was removed. (CLUSTER-4687)
sepl server stream
Fixed injection status message in Web UI incorrectly stating that PHP 8.2 is not supported. OneAgent version 1.253+ is capable of injecting PHP 8.2. (CLUSTER-4013)

Cluster
We fixed an issue where higher port numbers are displayed incorrectly on the Kubernetes service ports table. (K8S-5038)
Fixed a problem where the RUM enablement setting on process group level was ignored, leading to unintentional enabling or disabling of RUM for certain process groups. (RUM-9579)

This cumulative update contains 1 resolved issue and all previously released updates for the 1.260 release.
es query
Increased a timeout for refreshing TenantStatistics to prevent Elasticsearch queries for larger environments from running into timeouts. (CLUSTER-5136)

This cumulative update contains 2 resolved issues and all previously released updates for the 1.260 release.
