Overview
This extension provides the ability to remotely monitor Dell EMC Isilon clusters through the OneFS API
Every minute, this extension polls the API to ingest cluster, license, statfs, quotas, zones, network pools, storage pools and node metrics.
Use cases
This is intended for users, who:
- Would like to monitor the health and performance of their Isilon components
- Look for analysis support for Ops, IT and developers.
This enables you to:
- Monitor Isilon with a dedicated dashboard and Dynatrace entities to represent core components
- Detect anomalies and alert on them
Get started
Activate the extension in your environment using the in-product Hub, provide the required authentication configuration. Follow the instructions and prompts within the extension settings.

Details
The extension uses the OneFS API to collect important Isilon component metrics.
User Permissions: The extension requires the following Read-Only permissions:
- ISI_PRIV_LOGIN_PAPI
- ISI_PRIV_STATISTICS
- ISI_PRIV_AUTH
- ISI_PRIV_NETWORK
- ISI_PRIV_DEVICES
- ISI_PRIV_QUOTA
- ISI_PRIV_SMARTPOOLS
You can create a dynatrace monitoring role with:
isi auth roles create --name dynatrace --description "Dynatrace Read-only"
