Giovanni studied Computer Science at the Universita' degli Studi di Udine receiving his B.Sc. in 2013, followed by a master’s degree in 2015, a joint program between the Universita' degli Studi di Udine and the Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, which he completed with a 110/110 cum laude. He continued his academic venture, completing his Ph.D. in Software Engineering with distinction in 2019.
From 2016 to 2018, Giovanni was an active member of the IEEE Student Branch Austria for which he served as vice-chair. In December 2019, he joined Dynatrace as a software engineer and is currently working on bringing observability into Function as a Service (FaaS) and shaping the OpenTelemetry standard.
